EXPERIENCE

As the Kentucky Office Leader, Mike is responsible for managing transportation projects and city engineering services in Kentucky. He brings over 20 years of diverse experience to his role, including project management and government services at the state and local levels, as well as in the private sector. Prior to joining Compass in December of 2024, Mike spent time as a Transportation Engineer at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and as the City Engineer for the City of Covington.  He has worked as a private consultant since 2018 after retiring from government work.

Throughout his career, Mike has served as project manager on a wide range of projects, including roadway design, site development, stormwater improvements, bridge replacement and inspection, slide mitigation, multi-use trails, streetscapes, signal timing, construction inspection, and utility projects across the region.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys skiing with his wife and three sons, attending his kids’ sporting events, watching his oldest son stream, running with his dog, UK Basketball, and trying to not get frustrated with the Bengals.
